about me
Kia ora and welcome. I’m a Pākehā New Zealander, born and raised in Papaioea / Palmerston North and living in Te Whanganui a Tara / Wellington, on Taranaki Whānui and Ngāti Toa land.
I’m an artist and leadership coach. But before that I was a lawyer and a leader in the non-profit and public sectors who for a long time felt uncreative.
My own creative renaissance struck in my early 30s after a period of burnout and art making has since become a big part of my life. I’m represented by {Suite} Gallery and exhibit regularly around Aotearoa. You can also find me on stage and in your ears as part of the pop-punk band Love Party.
As a coach, I work with leaders and professionals looking to tap into their creativity and find more freedom and potential at work. I also run Renaissance Lab, a platform helping professionals connect with their creativity.
I’m built for deep conversation and love connecting with people around the things that matter most to them.
Earlier in my career, I spent over 15 years practising law — working in litigation, international law, and regulatory reform — and in leadership roles in the public sector. I’ve also worked with non-profits both here and overseas, including as a board member and Chair of a national mental health service provider.
I hold a BA in Anthropology and Religion, an LLB (First Class Hons) from Victoria University of Wellington, and an LLM in Environmental Law (with distinction) from New York University, where I studied as a Fulbright Scholar. I trained as a coach through the New Zealand Coaching and Mentoring Centre and am a member of the International Coaching Federation.
